St. David's Forestville is one church with five congregations
Each congregation has its own life and flavour yet is part of the whole.
Sunday 8am Traditional service
The Sunday 8am services is a traditional Anglican Service. Enjoyable yet reverent, using the Anglican prayer book. Morning Prayer on the third and fifth Sundays of each month and Holy Communion all other Sundays.
Sunday 10am Family service
The 10am Sunday service is a relaxed family friendly service. Children are catered for with a fine Sunday School "inside Out" & "KFC" from Pre-school to Year 8. A creche and a 'crying room' are also provided. The service starts with a children's section, with singing or other activities for the whole family. Communion is on the second Sunday of the month.
5pm Sunday Adults
On Sunday afternoons at 5pm, we have a contemporary service for adults and families. A band and informal format make this a popular service for those seeking a church gathering that is relaxed while still reverent. 5pm has a great children's program for ages 0-12 and our High School Bible Study groups are also held at 5pm.
645 pm
Our 645 service (6:45pm-8:00pm) is for youth and young adults. It has a chilled approach to meeting around God's Word and is a great service for people who want to hang out and find out more about God.
St. David's Retirement Village Service
For Seniors we also run a service at the St. David's Retirement Village Chapel (Cook St. Forestville) at 4:00pm on Tuesdays. This is in conjunction with a Bible discussion group at 2:30pm in the same location. All seniors are welcome. |
